This property is an iconic new build in the heart of Notting Hill, near to the world-renowned Portobello Market. The double basement house was crafted to maximise space and light at every opportunity. It was our objective to make sure that users of the building did not feel as though they were underground: clever use of glass and floor plate configurations ensured this was realised. At the heart of the property, we incorporated a sculptural, helical staircase with a large roof light above which allows natural light to filter down over five floors. A neutral palette with subtle materials, shadow gap details and recessed joinery handles gave a modern, luxury feel to the property.
